I wish I could meet each of you in person over some steaming hot chocolate, but alas, there’s always: [email protected].

  2. Forgive my ignorance but did your mother have her own restaurant in Guyana/London? Would love to know more about her.

    1. Sadly my mother passed away 11 years ago, this blog is really a tribute to her and the cooking we shared growing up. It was one of her ambitions to have a shop: we actually started selling roti from our kitchen at one stage.

  3. Oh gosh. I am as pleased as punch that I have found this blog. I was looking for a recipe for pine tarts today. Of course my Guyanese mother and grandmother know how to make pine tarts but I was always more interested in eating them-rather than learning how to make them. How times change….I look forward to checking out the rest of your blog. Cheers. x
